Henna paste is made from the crushed leaves of a desert Bush. As gorgeous as it is in body art, it also a great homeschooling tool to teach our children math and science with an artistic twist.
This is a great party idea or a wonderful homeschooling project, either way its a lot if fun.
Math is covered by measuring the ingredients, science is experienced through learning about the plants, mixing the ingredients and watching it turn from powder to paste. I throw in a little bit of biology when we cover how the dye seeps into the layers of the skin and finally… the best part… we paint daddy with a paint brush.
They also love painting themselves, If you have children you already know this. Once they wash up, they are left with moisturized, sun protected skin and a beautiful self created temporary tattoo.
